History Built in 1764, Healds Hall was the largest house in Spen Valley. The Hall first became famous through links with the Bronte family when it was owned by the Reverend Hammond Roberson, immortalised as the Reverend Matthew Helston in Charlotte Bronte's novel 'Shirley.'

Healds Hall is conveniently situated for all major roads and rail networks, giving easy access to Huddersfield, Bradford and Wakefield with Leeds only 9 miles away. Conferences and Meetings Healds Hall is the perfect venue for conferences, training courses, private meetings and seminars. A purpose built conference and banqueting suite was completed in 1992. Theatre style, the suite can accommodate up to 100 delegates in the main room, and there is also an adjoining room, ideal for smaller groups, separate syndicate or interview room. A range of audio visual equipment is provided and additional items can be arranged on hire. Fax and photocopying facilities are available.

M62 FROM HULL - EXIT 27 After leaving the M62, continue for 3 miles on the A62, following the signs for Huddersfield. Pass through 6 sets of traffic lights, and after passing the Liversedge town sign, Healds Hall is 300 yards on the right.
M621 FROM LEEDS Leave the M621 at the exit for A650 & A62, and follow the route above.
M1 FROM LONDON - EXIT 40 Leave M1 (Exit 40) and follow the A638 signposted Dewsbury. From Dewsbury take the A652 (signposted Bradford) to the A62. Turn left on A62 (Huddersfield sign). Healds Hall is 2 miles along the A62 on the right hand side.
M62 FROM MANCHESTER - EXIT 26 Approaching Yorkshire from Manchester, leave the M62 (Exit 26) and take the A638 (signposted Dewsbury). After 3 miles, turn left at The Swan Pub onto the A62. Healds Hall is 50 yards on the left.
