Halifax was built on the cloth trade dating back to the 13th century, however Halifax has not lost its roots and is now regaining its former glory as one of the UK's great textile towns.

One of the main attractions to Halifax is the Piece Hall, which today houses a textile museum, an art gallery and shops. The town has a relatively new visitor attraction in the shape of the Eureka! Museum for Children, which is the only one in the country, dedicated to children between the ages of three and nine.

Whatever you want to do, Halifax has it all; shops, businesses, hotels, pubs, restaurants, clubs, cinemas and theatres.
